I bought the first one since I wanted a digital copy. I already own the Complete Collection on physical discs.
I didn't buy the second one because I already owned the "Ultimate Collection" that EA released a long time ago. Plus, this version doesn't include the IKEA Home Stuff Pack for whatever reason.

The reason you might buy these even if you own a previous version is that these new releases work on modern machines and operating systems without having to pray that some old hacky workaround still gets you going.

@previous (A) The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection was released during the height of Windows 10 though. What difference does this version make compared to that version?
I heard the boxy shadow glitch wasn't fixed still.
