Here's a wine trivia I just read:
Almost allofthewine consumed in the UK is imported, with the top five countries of origin being France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

There is an organization called European Federation of Origin Wines. Their site tells us:
The common organisation of the wine market – Regulation (EC) n°479/2008 (see more) which has been integrated into the Single CMO (Reg. (EC) n°1234/2009) – is one of the largest and most complex common market organisations (CMO) in the common agricultural policy (CAP).
The wine CMO divides wine into two main categories:
Table wines
Quality origin wines: Protected Designations of Origin (PDOs) and Protected Geographical Indications (PGIs)
very compelling: winemaking from imported grape is prohibited, as is mixing wine from non-EU countries with community wine

You would not. Besides, no serious connoisseur of wines actually likes French wine. They just pretend to so they can sound cultured while swirling their overpriced poncey shite and mumbling about "hints of oak" and "delicate terroir". A good English wine doesn't need all that pretentious nonsense.
I'd love to see you confidently pick out a £5 supermarket Bordeaux and swear it's some rare vintage. You piece of shit.
