I’m not going to lie. I’m surprised that the studio making those endless sequels just suddenly stopped with 2016’s The Land Before Time XIV: Journey of the Brave. It was getting to a point where one had to question just who the target demographic was. Newer kid audiences or the adults who were children when the first few films came out.
Apparently, none of them were profitable enough to keep the cash cow from running dry, but still… it would’ve been nice for them to make one more movie for everyone who has ever grown up with the line of films. Kids who were there for the original 1988 film and the subsequent sequels to kids, who maybe older now, who got attached midway through the line.
Maybe do something different and show the main characters as adults for added closure and catharsis. And if they’re making it for adults (and/or children), maybe show the asteroid coming down to Earth with a wholesome message of togetherness. It doesn’t matter if this wasn’t how the dinosaurs went extinct. It’s how it has to happen in this world since even as a kid I always anticipated it.

Ma’am, that language is unfit for a proper lady. You should be ashamed of yourself. Conduct yourself in a respectful manner or else face some serious scorn from your peers.

Ma’am, if you needed pads then you should’ve just said something. I could get you some. We can’t have you bleeding all over the floor here. I understand it’s tough, but you have to try to control yourself and not lash out at people who did nothing to you. I’m just trying to help you.

Just trying to do my part as a Daughter of God. Anonymous B here clearly has been going through a rough time of the month and I’m here to extend my support by providing her with the necessary hygiene products.

So 14 installments in a row failed to be profitable... and you are surprised they stopped?
If something keeps the cash cow from running dry, then that means that something has ensured the cash cow can continue to be milked - which is to say, makes money.
Catherine's statement implies that the cash cow running dry is the purpose of making profit.
