I've read the Harry Potter books and this is some of the most liberal snowflake pretentious bullshit I've ever read and yet the author who wrote it is some right leaning tranny hating nutjob.
It doesn't make sense. Now I just want to troll her with excerpts of these novels that contradict her bullshit just for the lulz. Just using biblical verses to contradict a massive christfag.

One doesn't have to actually believe the shit they're shoveling for work. Only the CEO and the marketing department have to pretend it's their life work.

@OPubes
According to estimates, J.K. Rowling has earned well over a billion dollars from the Harry Potter book sales alone, with a substantial additional income coming from the movie adaptations, merchandise, and theme park profits related to the franchise, making her one of the wealthiest authors in history; some sources suggest her total earnings from the Harry Potter series could reach several hundred million dollars from film rights alone

Catherine doesn't like Rowling. That's all there is to it. There's no substance behind the position, it's just: Rowling = bad, so Harry Potter = bad.

If not for JK's later stances, I could easily see right-wingers calling the books woke libtard bullshit.
It's the story of a mistreated orphan boy living with his abusive, socially aspirational adoptive parents. The privileged and wealthy Malfoys are cruel and morally bankrupt; the working class and humble Weasleys are kind, brave and loyal. The primary antagonists are extremist racial supremacists who subscribe to the idea of "blood purity" (Voldemort and the Death Eaters). The media (Daily Prophet) is state-controlled misinformation that prints lies for the government (Ministry of Magic). Strong female characters are front and centre (Hermione, Ginny) and Dumbledore loves cock.

It was considered this before she went on her anti-trans tweet bender. I remember there being social media posts about how NASCAR and Harry Potter swapped sides.

@1,344,484 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > Also, the book is mildly racist
What specifically do you find racist in the books?
People usually point to the names, but they seem more lazy/uninspired than intentionally racist. Shacklebolt is named for his work as head of security, and Cho Chang is criticised by white people for "sounding racist" or due to it being a Korean name and not a Chinese one (as if Americans don't also have French/German/Italian names, and despite Cho Chang being a real name that real people have). Clumsy, maybe, and certainly not demonstrating the racial hypersensitivity of modern Americans, but hardly racist.
It's been a long time since I read the books, but I don't remember anything approaching actual racism in any of them. Far from it, the anti-prejudice theme is one of the books' strongest elements; it's central to the entire story.
Making the bankers little hook-nosed goblins was funny as shit though, I'll give her that.

(Could arguably add "Seamus Finnigan the Irishman constantly blowing shit up" to the list of questionable character decisions.)
