If you don't have a full time job beside college, you should have the time of your life. I don't think I ever traveled and partied as much as now during college... it's just, you're old enough to do anything yet you're still not all serious and full into "real life".

The best part of college is the lifestyle.
If you are living in dorms or away from your parents with no real worries (it's different if you are working full-time to support yourself while going to school), it's a grand time. Dorm life is interesting. Probably my biggest regret is not going away to college.

I highly recommend living in a dorm for socially awkward people. It's sink or swim (most learn to swim, even if only certain waters). The alternative, living at home is only sink.

Whatever you do, don't start skipping class. It's addicting and really fucked me over my freshman year. I had to drop two classes and passed the others with Cs because I missed important tests.
