McDonald's doesn't hire undocumented immigrants. They are very strict about it from the corporate level. Just admit that you were rejected by McDonald's.

notice how we don't seem to hear much in the news about employers getting into any trouble for hiring people who crossed illegally. it seems there's a major incentive to crossing illegally that could be mitigated if the demand for cheap work no-questions-asked was made to dry up.

I WANT all the illegals to be deported or quit so that several major US industries will be crippled and everyone suffer. Then they'll see why we need immigrants. Fuck fascists, and fuck Trump.

if the people in power gave a shit, they'd have figured out how to legally get people to pick the fruit without being slaves or illegal entrants, decades ago

When every other job is filled with immigrant slave labor, the citizens have to fight for the few jobs that don't do it. McDonald's wouldn't be getting stacks of applications if those other jobs had openings. It's one big labor market, what happens in one part of the economy affects every other part.

I have state certification to as a food service manager, and 7 years experience in fast food. The hiring manager implied I had to suck her dick to even be considered during the first interview.

Don't see too many white Americans clamoring to pick fruit for 16 hour a day in the hot sun for slave pay. Why don't you go apply to some fruit farms? They really need labor right now.

Americans are not in the same position where they can be exploited to that extent. When the farms lose their slaves, they will be forced to raise wages to continue. These businesses wont shut down because eating food isn't going out of fashion.
When the democrats ignore working class issues and continue to defend illegal immigration for exploitative labor practices they need to drop the pretense that they are there for the underdog.

What do you think would happen? That people would starve?
Agriculture has a lot of automation already, and there are people who would work productively if the wages were appropriate.
The real obstacle here is that America needs a culture change where we accept that it's more sensible for people doing heavy, body-breaking labor like that to have a private space to store their belongings and sleep without crawling over 10 other people. The problem with democrat economics is that when one of these people starts coughing, they're all sick and can't work. That's inhumane and unproductive.

I'll tell you EXACTLY what would happen, because it DID happen the last Trumpa administration with his stupid tariffs. The federal government would subsidize (translate: those communist handouts that Republicans always vilify) the farmers for free so they could either pay workers more to get them, etc. The system is not sustainable without the migrants. Again, I don't see You living up to go pick fruit Why not? Tons of positions available right now.

I want all those undocumented migrant workers to be recognized as human beings, and then afforded the same minimum wage standards afforded to us workers, who wouldnt want to take the job for less anyways, may as well pay experienced people for their fucking experience, maybe this will stoke some kind of class consciousness fuck
> I want all those undocumented migrant workers to be recognized as human beings, and then afforded the same minimum wage standards afforded to us workers
Good, but this goes against the Democrat talking point that we need these people here to do hard, dirty work for very low pay or the economy won't work. If we actually can pay these workers fairly (immigrant or born here) then that would prove the slaver's argument invalid.

you'll be able to buy 8 tesla robots for cost of one average farm worker's annual wages. I'm sure the robots wont mind taking turns out in the fields
