like you want to kill yourself. For example, lots of kids like animals and so figure being a vet would be swell. Well it turns out being a vet is correlated with feeling more like you want to kill yourself compared to most other jobs. I figure it is worth mentioning. There may be other factors at play worth mentioning though, such as the part of the world, or demographic group within a country. So such lists should take into account what population was sampled from.

Vets are always depressed and tend to have terrible drinking problems. I think it's because someone who becomes a vet is an animal lover, but then they have to spend all day dealing with incredibly sick animals, putting them down all day or watching them die painfully from cancer and strokes.

yes, personality factors have been mentioned in the papers. it seems like someone who is more emotionally flat or almost sociopathic would do better as a vet

However, those types of people would be unwilling to work the long unsociable hours involved in the dirty low-paid work that is veterinary care. It requires sacrifice, which is really only why animal lovers go for it.

I see that being a NEET increases risk. I've experienced this myself. It's because you have no money to do anything, so you're always bored. And if you're a NEET not by choice, you have the soul crushing labor that is job search to do.

Are you not in a city? There's always a job, unless you're in the middle of nowhere.

There's not always a job. Well, right now there is, but not always.

There is, but many people will say the work available is beneath them.

another thing to notice is the reporting that much of the suicide in certain jobs is related to how the job puts people in proximity to ways to kill theirself. the medical jobs are such a thing.

That isn't true. Jobs have to be available in commutable distance from a person's home which means things like fruit picking isn't for everyone, and when times become tough even janitor jobs fill up. I should know, I lived that situation.
