So the NYPD now has the capability to down aircraft. They didn't specify the extent if the capabilities but, assuming conventional routes are taken, they have all or some of the following options: shoulder fired surface to air missiles (i.e. Stinger missiles), surface to air missiles (countries like Iran and North Korea love these types), mobile missile launchers, air to air missiles (lol NYPD Air Force). Regardless of the method and the argument for security does anyone else feel a little uneasy with some greasy whop policeman with the ability to down a fucking aircraft? Also if a plane is hijacked it's likely to be crashed anyways.
