Dying over dishonor is a stereotype with Japan. Like if you were bad at being a samurai or bad at being a soldier in World War Two or something, it would be honorable for you to kill yourself. But I was thinking about it just now, what if that’s not what it was? Because think about it, say you were running a criminal organization like a gang and one of your members betrays you. Imagine you’re the leader of this organization. What do you do with the member of the gang who betrayed you? Do you fire them and just hope they never turn on you or start competing with you or telling your enemies all your secrets, or do you just kill them? But if you kill somebody then everyone will think you’re a murderer. So what if you don’t kill them, what if they "kill themself." I mean, think about it: imagine you’re on an island somewhere, you’re commanding a group of Japanese soldiers, somebody did something bad, do you wanna tell his family you shot him so then once the war is over and you have to go back to Japan they hunt you down and try and avenge the death of their son? Nah, you just say he killed himself. Duh.

Like Mishima for example. He killed himself by traditional seppuku. If you look into it: he was VERY gay. Like I’m not even homophobic or anything but he was disgustingly gay. Like gay in a way I don’t think most gay people would think is okay.

It’s not really even exclusive to Japan. It could also apply to western culture, like think about this famous story about Mark Antony, Cleopatra, and Julius Caesar. The "official" story is Mark Antony and Julius Caesar were both Roman generals that just happened to randomly coincidentally be fighting over some hot woman that randomly coincidentally happened to be an Egyptian princess, Mark Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide over some romantic BS, and then Julius Caesar became the first dictator of Rome. And Julius Caesar totally didn’t execute another general and execute an Egyptian princess on his quest to become dictator and then make up some romantic story about it.

Maybe the Boeing whistleblower also honor suicided himself. People must just have an innate natural desire to commit suicide for wealthy people like billionaires and emperors because there’s no way powerful people would ever cover up a murder. Pff…

What’s nonsensical gibberish is thinking that it’s more probable that throughout history thousands of people would kill themselves in order not to "dishonor" people who are more powerful than they are instead of thinking that it’s more probable that powerful people just like making critics fall out windows.

Maybe if I was emperor of America a lot of neo-confederate Alabama boys would be committing honor suicide because they’re so "patriotic" and I love their culture so much.
> In Rome, they used to send the army to tell you to kill yourself. How does that work?
I mean think about it: when Scipio just happened to find Hannibal, they guy he had spent years fighting who was an enemy of Rome, Hannibal just happened to say Scipio was the best general ever and then killed himself for honor. That sounds kinda sketchy.

It’s like if when Stalin’s army got to Hitler’s bunker they said, "Oh yeah, right before Hitler shot himself, Hitler said Stalin was the greatest military leader ever."

Why would a white neo-Confederate Alabama boy of European descent conform to a Japanese stereotype? Especially when his great grandfather may well have played a part in making a lot of Japanese soldiers and pilots commit such honor suicides???

Dude that’s so racist. There are millions of Japanese rednecks. I can’t tell the difference between an Alabama boy and a Japanese because I for one am colorblind.

It’s true. There are a lot of suicides that must be committed in order to restore what God wanted this Earth to be. The only reason God gives me enemies is it is more glorious to overcome evil by destroying it. If everything was just handed to me that would be boring and unimpressive. A lot of people will need to commit suicide.

You should practice on yourself first to make sure you have it down right. I mean, what if you "suicide" me and then I get right back up and suicide you for real?

There’s no reason for you to be afraid because there is nothing I can do to hurt you. Let me have my way with you just so that you can laugh at me. Don’t even bother trying to stop me, I won’t succeed anyway.
