Was that a direct quote or paraphrased? It’s kinda confusing trying to verify it because I’m finding random quotes of random allied WWII leaders calling the Indians the Japanese, or the blacks "beastly."

The United Kingdom still had colonial control of India and the United States still had racial segregation in the south, and the KKK was still murdering thousands of people during the 40s. Obviously, the US and the UK were racist and had leaders who held racist views. I was mostly just wondering if general Paton specifically said that, or if it was another general or another WWII leader. Since usually quotes come up when you google them. Unless it’s paraphrased or something and he said the same thing in a similar way.

Although, upon further investigation, there are articles saying he said things that are worse than what you said he said, so it doesn’t really matter.
'Patton, who routinely referred to black soldiers as “niggers,” rotated his white combat troops every week or two after fighting on the front – but the 761st served for more than six months with the same personnel, sustaining a 50 percent casualty rate.'
