You know what? Screw it, the title is self explanatory.

Maybe they'll make a competing Chromebook based off the Edge browser!

It's totally fine for most ordinary uses. If you hate windows you are a huge nerd.

You can write an Android app using Windows or Mac. You can only write an iPhone app using Mac. The only advantage Windows has is PC game dev. Honestly I got an Intel Mac before Apple silicon was in their computers with the intention of installing Windows, never installed Windows, and got an Apple silicon MacBook.

Mac is a professional tool for professional artists and creatives. Thanks.

I'm only now close to cataloging the registry tweaks and other settings to take the bullshit parts out of Windows 7. It takes that long! Considering a Windows 10 if I must, next, besides Linux of course (Linux Mint Cinnamon version recommended to Windows users for less fussing).

Most people don't write iPhone apps every day though so for most ordinary users that doesn't really matter. Obviously if you work in tech or video editing or something that's a different story.

No one here has a job or is creative so I'm not sure why that's relevant.

Mac is good for creative basement dwellers.

I cleared my cookies but I’m that C person. I’m a CS student. Whenever I use the terminal I’ve always had fewer problems with Mac than I have with windows. Just being able to use homebrew for instance makes downloading stuff from the internet way easier. And since it’s UNIX based most of the commands are 1:1 equivalent to Linux.

Yes but for normies it's worse than windows.
@previous (G)
That's totally fair and a reason to prefer mac or linux to windows. But for most people and most businesses it's totally fine as the main OS.
