It’s almost like Americans live vicariously through people more powerful than they are because the American dream is dead and everybody’s in denial that they’re never going to be a billionaire.

I'm convinced it's the end game for humans ascending to power. We had a local guy run for office on the "average joe cleaning up this town" platform... turned into a "get my coffee, intern" asshole just like the rest of them after he won.

Surprisingly, it turns out finding people who want to do what’s best for America as a collective instead of what’s best for themselves at the expensive of a collective in a society that was founded on the cultural idea of individualism is hard. Who would have thought?
