The Nordic model assumes women don't have agency and makes it harder for sex workers to conduct business. Any work is less safe when clients have to find you in secret and are worried about getting caught.
It's also pointless because normal relationships tend to be transactional, how do you prove they aren't on a legitimate date? In practice it's just about criminalizing working class men, while turning a blind eye to middle class provider-relationships even though both involve sex-for-cash.
