Topic: Delete funding for school sports programs

Anonymous A started this discussion 1 year ago #122,627

The people have spoken. The vast majority of US voters do not want mentally ill students participating in federally funded school sports programs, but to deny those students their right to equal opportunity of participation would be in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Defunding ALL school sports programs is the only way to satisfy the public.

Sports programs promote/support exercise. People are getting to FAT - Need for exercise and a better diet is good for our country.

The many states can fund their own sports programs, then.

You issue is really about those who are mentally ill. You want them to have equal opportunity yet not the opportunity in every state of USA.
I find this just Strange

It's not about what I want, the thronging masses have demanded this.

Please provide citations of how many are in favor vs those against Federal Funding.

When in search of Federal Funding with soon to be Trump I found this
"The president-elect wants to forbid classroom lessons on gender identity and structural racism. He wants to abolish diversity and inclusion offices. He wants to keep transgender athletes out of girls’ sports."

So, on occasion I consider gender bending to be a Mental Issue.

Anyway I cannot see stats on thronging masses demanding.

No. You can find out on your own. Assume it is true for the purposes of this discussion. Now that we've established the "totally hypothetical" scenario, carry on.

Thanks for the Laffs.

So, your position is that you're free to Cheat Lie and do the Hoochie Choochy without repercussions.
Of course you are because of free speech.

I put AI to the task of sorting out who is for and whom is against Gov support of Sport Programs. Congress currently is only interested in Trannies with Dicks OUT of Girls bathrooms and Sport Programs.

I don't see how we aren't already in Idiocracy now. Adult children immediately just think of some niggerball tournament when you bring up a school. And even with pro-sports, these imbeciles use the term "we" when describing the events, like they are on the team.

What is so funny? Many people are truly demanding that students with mental illness be excluded from school sports programs. Why are you so hung up on whether or not those people are the majority? I say they are but regardless, these people's elected representatives in the federal government have been compelled to take action in response to these demands.

Do you suggest that it would be more appropriate to amend the Americans with Disabilities Act than to simply cut off federal funding for school sports so that the many states may implement state-funded exclusionary sports programs as they wish?

I cannot find any evidence of this...

So many of the states cannot provide without Feds assistance.

Remember the Red States would still be segregated without Feds assistance.

Over 23% of Americans have experienced mental illness this year.

Of those 23% what fraction of a percentage participate in school sports?

We had a gymnasium education class where we visited the local games room and hit some balls. That was pretty good. Showed us how much better life is when you aren't at school all day. You can hang out at the tables.
