Not many people pick up on the subtle symbolism but when the huge train barrels into the gaping tunnel at the end, that's Cary Grant boning Eve Marie Saint. You couldn't show such things in the 50s you see.
I thought the ending was quite sudden and jarring, to be honest. One second they're dangling by their fingers from mount Rushmore, the next moment they're fucking on a train.
