Two questions. First, what article? The topic is about something that literally just happened. Second, why do you shoehorn "Matt" into every single thread?

So he relayed a message from someone with an actual role in the government to some other people with actual roles in the government?
That means he's a messenger and as such has no actual influence on governmental bodies himself, which makes sense because he has no position in government.

Anyway, to answer the question in the OP: > As a right-wing Republican, do you support Elon Musk, a foreigner who holds no actual government position, mankind Congress shut down the government?
If Elon wants to be Trump's messenger boy that's okay with me. You may have noticed that approximately zero "right-wing Republicans" are upset about this so why would I be?

Trump invited him and that Injun (dot not feather) guy to join a nongovernmental advisory body. It doesn't mean anything. You and I can also make recommendations to the government to increase government efficiency. It doesn't mean anything.
In fact, right this very instant I am going to advise President Biden to resign and let that Camilla Harris lady finish the last month out. Look, now I have exactly as much influence on the government as Elon does!

No. Elon is saying that if they go against Trump's will, they risk Trump trash talking them. This is very easy to understand and a man of your education should have little difficulty working out the logic here.

He met with lawmakers, who told reporters that Musk himself was demanding they shut down the government, and he made tons of Tweets saying the same thing. He did not talk about Trump sending him. But, what do I care? I hope you and every other MAGA voter get exactly what you voted for. Toodles.
At least he entered legally. He dropped out of school to start X and his Visa was a little bit expired for a minute there. But he fixed it really really quick.

If you are a South African and want to study in the US, you need to get a visa with a 5 year study permit. You are not allowed to change the reason for your visit at any time, and you are not allowed to work beyond doing on-campus jobs to support yourself / help pay for your studies (revenue generating work requires a work permit). You are also supposed to renew your study permit at least 3 months before it is due to expire (if it is going to take you more than 5 years to complete your degree). He should have been deported.

And yet he was not deported. In the 90s he worked with the government to correct the issue and disclosed all of his violations of the Visa. His study Visa was switched to a work Visa. He is not currently deportable, because he did everything required to have a valid naturalization when he became a U.S. citizen in 2002.
