Topic: the wonderful world of contractual obligation albums

You know, the performer/artist owes the music company one more album under the terms of the multi-album contract. The artist might just half-ass it, maybe with spite, especially if the relationship with the company went sour.

from the internet lists
Monty Python
Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album (1980)

Van Morrison
New York Sessions '67 (contains the wonderful Ringworm song)

Lou Reed
Metal Machine Music: The Amine β Ring (1975)

Neil Young / Neil and The Shocking Pinks
Everybody's Rockin' (1983)

Neil Young
Old Ways (1985)

Neil Young
Landing on Water (1986)

Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Love Beach (1978)
