There was a TLC documentary about the lives of Mormon men and their wives who suffers from "same sex attraction" (note: no homo). This shit is so fucking wild.
Because throughout the documentary, it's clear that these men are either gay or bi, mostly gay though, and yet there was nothing that came from this 1-episode mini-series. Not self-acceptance lessons. Not even some vaguely homophobic lesson about how to manage 'same sex attraction.'
This was just a weird thing to produce. Because it was just a bunch of not gay men thirsting over other not gay men.

I got out of a regular flavor conservative cult and they "welcomed" you to stick around as long as you didn't act on it. Effectively it was wearing a "faggot" placard around and meant a really tough time if you stuck around (everyone watching you, hiding their kids, praying over you, etc). Sounds like it hasn't gotten any better.
