A soft one, but a coup nonetheless. All branches of government are now controlled by fascists.

coup d'état
noun
kü-(ˌ)dā-ˈtä
also coup d'états or coup d'etats: a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics especially : the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group

Since when was more than half of the American electorate "a small group"? I also don't remember the existing government getting "violently overthrown" in the past 24 hours.

No it hasn't. Stop being melodramatic.

> All branches of government are now controlled by fascists.
No they aren't.

Facism:
A form of government in which most of the country's power is held by one ruler or a small group, under a single party. Under fascism, the economy and other parts of society are heavily and closely controlled by the government, usually by using a form of authoritarian corporatism, where companies and workers are supposed to work together under national unity. The government uses violence and police power to arrest, kill or stop anyone it does not think useful.

So it was violently overthrown by a small group, but so softly as to not actually be violent and the small group was a bit larger than half of America? That makes no sense at all.

It’s not a coup if we the people elect them! Also, don’t feel sad your dad will make a ton of money off some oil scam I’m sure.

Democrats lost the popular vote by millions and still feel entitled to cushy government jobs and faux-democratic moralizing.

If the majority of the people vote for their preferred candidate, that is undemocratic.
