Also, the studios pay the radio to play their songs x times each day. So blame the studios and not the DJs themselves. I mostly avoid the radio because they play the same shit over and over again.

Is that true? Because record companies were trying to make it so that everytime a station played their song they had to pay a royalty. The radio stations were all advocating against the "radio tax" as they were calling it since anger towards taxes was big at that moment.
