right -- I don't think they purport to be any specific political stripe, but they get a liberal label from propagandists who deliberately spread bullshit by various means in the older media, then by email, and that was a vast resource of shit to debunk. These liars hate it when you debunk them, and train the public to dismiss them as agents of some opposing political group. Snopes never set out to be a political group.
I mean, I wanted to check about the boiling a frog metaphor, and noticed they did not have it yet, so I submitted the idea and soon they had a page on it.
I'm trying to find the forum they used to have, but it looks like that disappeard -- it was a second resource to see what people discussed about content on the site, shame

There was never a law that said that, and there are many women who had bank accounts from back then.
Women inherited money, had jobs, and even got credit.
The myth stemmed from some banks requiring a cosigner for credit because most women didn't have jobs.
Please show any laws or other evidence that women were prohibited from opening bank accounts. Not just some random gender studies professor claiming it without their own source.
My grandmother was from that era and had a bank account, as did her mother. There's biographies where women talk about having these accounts too.

I have a few already, but I'm sure theres more. It would also be convenient for people who don't know about any of these yet.

I was denied getting a bank account because I was unemployed. I went to another bank. They gave me an account. So were unemployed people not allowed bank accounts (this was 1988 btw)?
They reasoning was an ATM which was offline might still give out a small amount of money which I might put my account in negative and I never pay them back.
