Topic: I used to write like I was on the phone, before phones

I always tried to make things look less like a wall of text and more like a page of text. People complained I wasn't maxing space efficiency.

Now that I'm in the corporate world, brevity is key since nobody reads my work anyway. Saves myself the effort.

Does listing things help?

It's so bad that people won't even skim lists, their eyes glaze over. I have to do it 'resume style' with 1 or 2 points (with some fluff underneath that nobody will read). Didya get the report you requested?? Ah, that's right. You make me consolidate everything here and don't even read it. The bosses then text me for updates... I hate wasting time and duplicating work.

@OP
I think I'm in your camp. You wrote it, format it how you like!

This part of, for a lack of a better word, bureaucracy is kinda fascinating though. It's like a kind of collective diary.
