LOL reminds of a friend I had. He would just spray most of a can on every fucking surface of his body and article of clothing he had while he was getting ready. We would go out to a bar with some friends, and no one wanted to get near him. I think the major problem with this stuff is that it's used by young guys who don't know what they are doing. Catching a whiff of cologne when you get close to someone is pleasing and can be sexy - having to find excuses not to be the car with someone who smells like 1000 air-fresheners just exploded on him is not.

If you know women at all you will know they are shoppers first and foremost. It's how the female brain has been wired by evolution, you know, for gathering.

In the book "Bonk", Mary Roach talks about experiments where they would measure blood flow to the vagina as well as measure vaginal secretions. They would then expose the subjects to various stimuli and see how they respond. Whenever they were exposed to the subtle smell of colognes and fragrances, it almost always reduced blood flow to the vagina, and turned off any vaginal secretions. In others words, colognes can be such a turn off, that they literally shrivel up and dry out the vagina.
Sometimes it's better to just not wear anything at all, and just your body's natural smell do the work. If you do wear cologne, less is more. A little goes a long way. Soak yourself and you're going to kill your chances. Even then, you have to be careful about how colognes mix with your body's chemistry. Even if you think it smells good on you, you might not smell good to other people in other circumstances.
