Maybe maybe, but what if we create some additional high speed canals from the south and north which connects to the main canals? Is a canal roundabout something that's even possible? And are Americans ready for a roundabout?

look up "lazy river". their typically kinda shallow and slow moving, but the technology can probably be scaled up.
