I don't want to share a planet with people that take-take-take either. Since I don't have a god of death to do my bidding, and I'm a nobody peasant, all I can do is make sure they have no power over me (stay out of debt, walk away from jerks, quit any jobs with tyrant bosses, boycott bad businesses, etc).

Anyone could take lives. You just have to be smart about it. Not leave behind trails and make sure there are no witnesses. Remember that cameras and other surveillance equipment count as witnesses.
