She thinks it’s because the whole family got to eat more cake than me (which is true) and I’m mad about that but here’s the thing she severely restricts my sugar intake and if I don’t she plays the diabeetus card so I have to comply.
Plus I never said that I wanted any cake. I am just frustrated that I’m the only one in my ENTIRE family that has to be on a restricted sugar diet. I wish the rest of my family would eat less sweets in solidarity with me.

They both just looking out for you but annoyingly in different ways. Gotta side with your mum though, I've heard about people curing their insulin resistance by cutting all sugar for some time, but it's apparently hard.
