Yes, those things are awesome, but those things are very expensive, and it was already pointed out that most car companies would rather cut costs everywhere they can to increase the profit margin. There are a few cars that still use that technology, but they're niche markets for rich people with a HUGE mark-up to make up for the fact that it costs more money.
