Topic: How do you know if someone is into you?

La Reina Catalina !j0siCathyI started this discussion 1 year ago #120,713

On my way home from work, I always stop by a Del Taco for an iced coffee since that is the only thing that keeps me awake. It's like the restaurant staff spikes this shit with cocaine. There is this girl there who started being unusually friendly toward me. She started by saying that she used to work at another location I would stop at and asked why I didn't remember her. Like I'm going to remember some random Del Taco worker. Over the course of a few months she continues to ask me a lot of questions about myself. Like where I work and more recently if I have any siblings or if I work alone. She also said I looked nice at one point.

I don't really get it. I know she knows that I tend to stop by that one specific location since it's right off of the freeway on my way home, but why are her questions starting to get even more personal? Is it possible that she is interested in me?

I don't even know what her name is or anything. Has this ever happened to you where someone who was working a fast food drive-thru window started asking you a personal question every time you stopped at that location?

When she discovers you have a penis, she will stop asking you questions.
Honestly if she is into you, she is a lesbian. You are not what she is expecting.

I don't even know if she sees me as a guy or a girl at this point. My work uniform doesn't really do any favors since it's unisex. Plus the only time she ever saw me is when I'm sitting down in my car.
She seems like she might be a lesbian, but what if she was bi?

Why are you assuming she's a she and not a he?

Because most female appearing people usually use she/her pronouns. It's not rocket science, genius.

What the Fuck. Anon D was probably referring to her appearance, as She appears Female. How do you know she is a she?

I don't know what pronouns she/he/they uses. She has a feminine body type and looks female. Chances are high she uses she/her pronouns like every other woman on the planet.

OK - Now is she someone that you might want to date?
And IF she does have a penis, would that make a difference.

I don't even know what I am when it comes to sexual orienation. I usually say I'm bisexual/pansexual (whatever the fuck the difference is really) because I've felt feelings for both guys and girls in the past. And mostly just because when I feel something for someone, I know it strongly. I'm not sure what to feel here because if she does have these feelings for me. It's the first time anyone ever approached me. There were two people in my past who I confessed that I liked. Neither of them were that interested; mostly because one of them was kind of a cunt who sabotages her best friend's relationship all because she has feelings for them and the other due to complications, but still let me down gently so I appreciate that about them.

I'm still new to these kinds of feelings. It feels like the only certainity I ever had in my life was my gender identity and now I'm trying to find out more about the identity part.

It's sorta sad you're starting out so late in life sorting out attraction issues. Does appear that you lean towards a female.
It's time for you to start. May as well hit Del Taco more often. The first question should be "What is your work schedule" She could possible end up just a friend. The more friends you have is the more you will get out of life.
Me? I found found myself totally attracted to several women and decided it would be better to keep them as a friend, because often the quest for a relationship fails and it's hard to end it and still be close friends.
I still kick myself over a couple of choices.

I'm also kind of getting over the last person I fell for. This person was a guy. Though I think I make him feel awkward since whenever I see him, he tends to side-eye me or awkwardly stand either behind me or close to me. We started out as friends until I developed feelings for him. I'm hoping he just wants to be friends with me again, but given the nature of things, I'm not too sure. It just feels weird whenever he walks past me and he gives me that side-eye. Like I can't tell if he's nervous around me, scared of me, or what have you. I've done my best to just give him space since I told him, but we keep running into each other.

There was also the person before him I still feel like I'm getting over. She identified herself as a lesbian, but came out to me as a trans man. I don't think she ever fully figured out her identity though since she didn't care which set of pronouns she used. Then again, this could be the result of language and cultural barriers. English was her second language. Though nowadays it just seems like her name instills rage and anger.

I would be awkward as well if a guy friend came on to me. Would just be to creepy.
At your age you do need to move on. Give this new girl a chance. Perhaps just friends. Now be honest with her because she needs to know about the real you.

Trans-women are often perpetrators of sexual assaults.

Tell people sexuality is the core of who they are as a person, that it's discrimination if people don't want to have sex with them and this is the result.

It's obvious that either they are crazy or they're interested in you. Maybe both. I'm a guy, if I were not dating I'd shoot my shot.

A co-worker whom I asked told me that she may have only tried to be friendly.
Though I do know that she said that she was preggers and that "they" don't know what to do.

I asked the girl for her name. I know her name now. Not going to say it on here obviously. But she just starred at me and smiled. She knows my name too.

Now you're this far don't do anything reckless like block the toilet or it could be her turn to unblock it and they might look on the cameras to see whom it was.
