A $25k home assistance grant for home buyers is useless for most renters. They couldn't buy before, and prices have gone up much more than $25k since.

Home owners will reap the rewards. They can increase their listing price another $25k and know that the buyers have the money, and that they can't use that money on anything besides buying a home. Easy equity for the landed classes.

Getting that money from homeowners isn't the plan, that would defeat the whole purpose. Who is excited about a $25K gift to themselves, from themselves? It cancels out.

The money will come from all tax payers, but only go to homeowners. Again the democrats, who don't believe in basic economics, are creating policies to redistribute money from poor to rich.

I spent a decade as a single dude: renter. The world doesn't do you favors and you're expected to do a lot of the lifting.
