They've been talking to the front desk guy about it outside my door for the last half hour. I feel bad for them but it's been amusing listening to the man talking to Verizon customer support saying "emergency! I need the engineering department! No, not customer support, I need engineering!" to try to get them to give him the location of his wife's phone that was in the bag. Hope they find it, can't imagine how shitty that must feel.

Cop showed up and is talking to them now. Lady is claiming she had at least $5k worth of camera equipment in her bag. Holy shit! Weird that they're staying in literally the cheapest dump in the city if they've got that kind of money.

It's amazing how people treat the world like their cozy home in the suburbs then make it everyone else's emergency when it goes badly. Yeah, yeah, don't blame the victim, but at some point... c'mon!
