I agree but there are a lot of factors to this.
At least here in America, lifespan is going down because people value being expendable in service of productivity.
Ironically, the increase in our lifespan would be in service of this goal if we were to keep our current mindset.
So in order to achieve this we would have to rethink our current way of doing things, and ask ourselves why.
I do ask myself why, occasionally. Do you ever notice this weird contrast between the worker and consumer life? A job can truly be a dreadful thing if you aren't lucky, all decency and honor taken away to make a product as appealing as possible for the consumer, cheap and delicious etc... yet the consumer is the man in the job.

We've hit on some good points so far. Space doesn't have trinkets or iPhones so humans will need a worldview spring cleaning and sense of community or space won't work for them.
