We have a couple of old sites that got tagged as historic in my area - too unsafe to let the general public in, and no money to fix the place because nobody wants to volunteer their $$ millions for a moneypit.
A more realistic outlook would be to part out a few of the features for a 'retro' novelty at other parks.
