any nigga trying to tell you that real food is obsolete hates you with every fiber of his bean. have you ever looked at the ingredients list of a fake meat product? very literally the "Look What They Need to Mimic a Fraction of Our Power" meme. cant wait to see what man made horrors are unleashed to make stemcell meat competitive.

So you implicitly trust the Food regulatory authorities? If it says mechanically separated chicken, you think that's just one ingredient? It's just a common name for yet another chemically complex concoction. Meat gets away with being listed as one ingredient because of corruption and industry lobbying. If the bakery industry got the same treatment your loaf of bread would have one ingredient: dough.

You've made the wild assumption that I'm scared of Clorox brand bleach because I mentioned the complexity of the organic compounds that make up chicken meat products. You're a total weirdo.

And I gave you the historical answer.
Barley as a food in USA is rare. It is popular elsewhere on the planet. Of course most Americans Brits and Germans consume it as beer or Whiskey.
Reminds me of how I used to cook pearl barley but that was long ago.
