It feel more like an essay in the same style as George Orwell but from the point of view of a rejected but talented artist and someone who is socially aware.
It's a shame that it's been ruined by a commentator who feels it's nesserary to "put things in context" by implying that hitler was a bad guy. It could be improved if the narrator had a German slightly authoritarian accent but you can't have everything.
