Covers your eyes from the sun, makes you look younger and keeps your head warm when it's slightly cold. So why don't more people wear one?

I actually dig hats but it's easy to get lumped into the 'nut' category if you deviate from ballcap. I've had the wonka hat guy, derby hat guy, Canadian earflap guy in July, and top hat guy all come in to work and I'm like, aw fuck, please don't talk to me and please don't make me address that stupid hat (or smell you).

But more on point, I think tucked in T-shirt and ballcap did some damage in the 90's/00's. Same with flat brim hats.

@previous (Chuffed !m8sJfgzmLE)

I was thinking it was a confidence issue, people aren't sure if they can pull a hat. Meanwhile the smelly nutters don't even think twice apparently. We should take notes from them.

it seems to have stuck as the hat standard for some decades now

any other hat gets you the side-eye, like "what's that guy's deal"
