Topic: I think Tabasco is probably my favorite store-bought hot sauce.

I tried others like Tapatío and Cholula. They’re good. I tried even spicier sauces made with ghost peppers and reapers. But there is something about Tabasco that just feels enough. I like it even more when I realized it’s made with only three ingredients. Distilled vinegar, red peppers, salt. Tabasco is awesome.

how do I make this dried chile salsa?

Toast the chiles and unpeeled garlic clove until fragrant
Remove seeds, if desired, from chiles and peel garlic

Blend peppers, garlic, water and salt
Add onion and tomato and blend until mostly smooth
Taste, adjust seasoning, enjoy!

I live on the jalapeño side of the camp but I recognize and appreciate all members of this elite club.

One of the down sides of bottle sauces is the need for vinegar. It is only there to protect from botulism.
So home made or bought that is not bottled can be soooo much better. The crunch of jalapeño's in a Salsa of Tomatoes onions and jalapeño served raw is wonderful as well. Thousands of ways to make Salsas. Great for dancing as well.

I'm pretty sure this is salsa. I was mostly referring to hot sauces.

I'm a little creeped out that you actually looked up an address in my hometown and then post it in this thread.

I never had that before. I've been meaning to try the variations, but then just fall back to the original sauce.

You constantly post about your location. You named a specific street you were traveling down just the other day.

Hometown? You must have early onset Alzheimer's. Multiple times over the many years including having a neighbor known as Rocket Man. So of course I know where you reside. You even provided enough details to know which street you're on.
Bottom line on Bottle stuff is IT MUST HAVE Vinegar and the best tasting Hot STUFF has NO Vinegar. However yes I have a bottle or 6 around.
