The filter should be between each phone jack and it's phone, if one phone is missing a filter it borks the whole thing. If every phone has a filter, you're missing something else.

What internet provider do you guys use? Also, at my other house, I don't even have a landline anymore. Even with filters, all we heard was static from the phones. We'd rather have internet.

Well that's baffling lol, my guess would be your router didn't support it for some reason, or a single filter was non-functional. Certainly it could have been fixed, they were just incompetent.

It only takes one broken filter to fuck the whole system. Unplug all phones, plug them in one at a time, call to test. Rule out the obvious first.

I never had to suffer through DSL, as we ditched dial-up for cable internet as soon as it was available.
So glad my dad was still tech savvy as hell back then.
Getting kicked off the internet because of a phone call was balls.
