The number 28 can be pronounced as twenty ate.
a farmer has 30 cows and 20 ate chickens..OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW COWS do not eat Chickens. And No KFC chickens will not interest Cows.
Anyway the math for this stupid riddle is 30 - 20 = 10.

Yes it is true. It's rarely witnessed,but horses,deer,and other herbivores will also show this behaviour. It's unclear if it's just something they do when the opportunity arises,or of it is motivated by a mineral deficiency.
