We aren't ready for that. In the last two elections (almost) half the country voted for a white nationalist running on a platform of going back to the gold old days when white men were the only people who mattered, it's already risky enough putting forward a black woman candidate. They needed a straight, white, christian, veteran man on the ticket for some "normalcy".
