Why do you support what the Arabs did to take that land to begin with?

They are not the indigenous people.

No, they were from the Arabian peninsula and then spread out and conquered lands from north Africa to the edges of the middle east.

The phillistines, jews, canaanites, and other groups were there before the Arabs violently took over.

The people who are now living in Gaza Strip are generally descended from those biblical people.

It's probably a coincidence they all speak Arabic.

Anonymous C replied with this 1 year ago, 5 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,314,746

@previous (B)

That is because Arabic is the official language of Islam. This particular dialect actually has elements that reflect historical Canaanite, Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Persian.

Why did everyone in that area all switch to Islam, I wonder...

Anonymous C replied with this 1 year ago, 58 seconds later, 4 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,314,751

@previous (B)

The same reason everyone else in the greater area all switched to Islam.

Anonymous B replied with this 1 year ago, 1 minute later, 4 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,314,752

@previous (C)
Yes, because an outside group of colonizers violently conquered the area and forced people to choose between conversion or death.

It's these genocidal colonizers that the "Free, Free, Palestine!" crowd are defending.

@previous (B)

That doesn't mean that the people living there now aren't indigenous.

this book was thoroughly found to be fraudulent, a revisionist history, if you will:

If you're people conquered the land from others, you aren't indigenous.

The people of Palestine voted to enable Hamas. Hamas declared war on Israel.
Israel in return is providing free building materials to re-build Palestine.
Muslims say "Allah Provides"

How do you think the Arabs got Palestine to begin with?

Anonymous C replied with this 1 year ago, 14 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,314,985

They rode over it and installed an administration

Then Israel is just installing an administration in the area.

What does Israel have to do with whether the people are indigenous or not?

Anonymous B replied with this 1 year ago, 7 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,314,992

@previous (C)
If the Arabs are indigenous, so are the Israelis.

If the Israelis aren't indigenous because they came from a foreign land and violently took it, then the Arabs are also not indigenous.

The people living in the Gaza strip now, the so-called Arabs, are the indigenous people of the area, who have lived there for over 2000 years.

@previous (C)

> The people living in the Gaza strip now, the so-called Arabs

The people waving the Arab flag and speaking Arabic?

You can leave "so-called" out of it, they are plainly Arabs.

> are the indigenous people of the area, who have lived there for over 2000 years.

No. Some of them may have a distant ancestor from the Area, but so do some of the Israelis living there.

The Arabs took it over and then had a new generation that were born there. The Israelis did the same thing.

You are treating the 7th century like a sacred period of time that decides who's legitimately native.

Anonymous C replied with this 1 year ago, 7 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,315,000

@previous (B)

There is no "Arab flag", and Arabic is the lingua Franca. The dialect they speak is notably influenced by previous languages specific to the region.

They have been DNA tested and the population is the people who have always lived there.

Whether the Byzantine empire or the Rashidun caliphate administered the government is of no concern to the issue of whether the people who live there are native, which they are.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Flag

Redirects to a page showing every Arab country using variations of this flag, which was used in the Arab Revolt, and it's the same flag that Palestinians are waving.

Every language has a local dialect, but they are still speaking Arabic and they can communicate with other Arabs hundreds of miles away.

Anonymous C replied with this 1 year ago, 23 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,315,015

@previous (B)

That redirects to "Pan-Arab colors" - so not a flag.

It redirects for a reason, the article has the flag in it, and many variations of that flag.

Then they should know damn well NOT to attack Israel. One would think after so many years they would learn how things work.

It is a scientific fact.
