Topic: I've been told to save ticks in my bug bag

And by bug bag I mean a little bag for bugs. But the content didn't elaborate. Is there anyone here who can tell me why I should save my ticks in my bug bag?

I'm in the woods a good bit and I've heard the same thing. The reason for saving ticks after removing them from yourself, your children, or your pets, is so that you can have them identified and tested for tick-borne diseases.

This can help determine your risk of exposure to diseases like Lyme disease and the correct course of treatment if you do become sick. Tick tests are more accurate than human tests because they look for the actual bacteria, while human tests only look for antibodies.

Maybe they eat pubic lice? Could be handy.
