The worst part is this kind of stuff is out of our hands. We're dependant on businesses to maximize profit for the shareholders (usually killing customers is bad and so are lawsuits and bad PR - that's the safety check there), or government to regulate if businesses can't seem to self police. China is a little different, they have the ability to shuffle business names with the snap of the fingers and continue operation (see Amazon and the flood of products that differ in company name only).

they also can execute ceos that screw up like the baby milk scandal. altho our president might also do that if he really wanted.
