oh I'd better clarify my post -- those songs are cover versions of the soundtrack songs, not the actual soundtrack tunes, yet they became hits in their own right. there's a whole genre of what I supposed fits into what they call "easy listening" that they might play over the speakers as you get seated into an airplane during some era of commercial flight, and a lot of that is dudes' instrumentals of other dudes' shit
