Topic: As commander in chief of the armed forces

Anonymous A started this discussion 1 year ago #119,068

the US president CAN now order the military to do literally anything. It is an "official" duty. He can literally order the military to kill Americans citizens for any reason, for example. He can order to military to lock Hillary in her house and burn it to the ground with her in it. LITERALLY. I hope MAGA is happy. One day, someone you don't like will be president and you're going to regret it.

There's one in the WH now nobody likes. As a matter of fact, Dems hate him so much, they are trying to replace him for the election.

Acting like a granny on Facebook ranting. He watches too much MSNBC and should be job hunting instead.

The armed forces are reserved for foreign threats.

You should be making the point that he can order the head of the Department of Justice around and control the FBI.

Doesn't matter. If it's an official act, he can do it.

No, they never said official acts include assassinating whoever you want.

Katrina and Covid were a couple of recent stress tests, as well as the Patriot Act and the Snowden stuff. Although I hesitate to run outside and get going on a sandbag bunker, it might be wise to at least observe what the politicians and news are saying and compare that to what is actually happening.

Those opinions are the opinions that are not considered actual law, so I'll pass.

they have the privilege of being able to violate the consitution? sounds like it would need to be routinely purged or done away with entirely.

The military is not obliged to obey orders that are illegal. Senior military leaders have the right to legal counsel before passing an order down the chain of command.

The 101st airborne is not and was not the national guard.
