Topic: Go for the money or do the right thing?

I can't say much (it's a secret) but here's the deal.

To go for the money I'd have to quit my job, wait 3 months and line up some capital to go after my old employer. Shitty yes, but it would allow me to make a fuckload of money off a discovery I made which nobody else at the firm has realized. I'll have to lie and say I only realized it after I quit. But I haven't told anyone yet so they couldn't prove jack shit in court. Bottom line here, if I'm successful in lining up the capital I'll be paying for cars and houses with cash. If not, I'll be stuck looking for a job in this shitty economy.

OR, alternatively...

I can alert them to the dumb mistake and hope they'll reward me appropriately. Not as lucrative, but not as risky either.

I'm torn. I wanna be rich someday, but I don't have much in the way of savings.
