Topic: How come Americans think almost every "unexplainable" thing is supernatural?

Half the time there is a scientific explanation for what it was they just saw. This makes a mockery of actual researchers of the supernatural. Those who actually study phenomenon which science cannot explain or has yet to explain due to lack of discovery. Are Americans so uneducated that they think a floating ship on the horizon is some sign of ghostly activity?

But I'm not trying to stand up for quacks or social media addicts in the US, don't get me wrong. I'm saying it's a human problem in general.

a large segment of the population, which has a lot of political power too, believe that the imagined Halloween-style witches are real, and forbid children's entertainment featuring witches, especially those that would promote the idea that a witch could be a good person. because they are of the devil
