Too many contradictions in one's life risks alienating allies on all fronts. It's easier to pick one herd and run with it, but is it staying true to one's self?

@previous (B)
Is there any rhyme or reason to it?

The same people who will rant about an abrahamic religion that doesn't tolerate queer people will go out of their way to tell you how much they appreciate the other abrahamic religion that doesn't tolerate queer people.

If leftism is just angst and contratrianism then it's easy to understand most of of the positions. What alternative is there?

Consistency is not a value of the left for sure. I've never seen a diehard leftist even stop and pause when confronted with the contradictions. Every single time they just get more pissed off and start insulting the person who pointed out the inconsistency.

There must be a reason some people aren't capable of recognizing and forming aversions to ideological problems like that.
