Topic: What happens if Catherine converts to Islam?

Anonymous A started this discussion 1 year ago #118,741

We have Cato who took the days of Catherine’s Islam interest and added on to it with fictional events of him converting, but what happens if the real Catherine ends up converting?

I mean converting without detransitioning. Much like there are LGBT Christians, they are LGBT Muslims.

I doubt that. She lives in California, you know

And when he was born, the "male" box was checkmarked. Just because he went and had it changed in the future, does not make him a female.

It's he. Notice how Catherine, the OP of this thread, refers to himself as "he".

She didn't change it, the state of California corrected it upon learning about her condition

Not according to the state of California. And yes, she suffers from a treatable mental illness

Well get him treated so he can stop pretending he is a female. Problem solved.

Then why do male and female genders have such wildly different ideals in different cultures? Is only your culture correct about it?

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 1 year ago, 24 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #1,303,649

@previous (D)
Other cultures also have different ideals that could count as non-binary. Not even non-binary is a new concept. Just the term is new. Though people in the West who take it behind what is already there is kind of coo coo.

Correct. For example, Polynesians have long had biological men who dress and act like women. It's an accepted part of culture there, and it is "manly" in their culture.

How is that relevant to people suffering from gender dysphoria? Are you suggesting they jump into a time machine and arrange to be born into a culture that won't lead to them suffering from a mental illness?

I am making the point that while there is a biological basis to sex, gender is arbitrary.

Catherine has, disturbingly, begun to resemble Matthew Miller. Just like Matt, she makes these topics anonymously yet knows her identity will be obvious. They both get off on the attention. They like people paying attention to them, and this is the easiest way to get it.

There is no distinction between gender and sex.
