As I indulge in the hermeneutic pleasures of certain anime-based dating simulations, my cerebral cortex is beset by a plethora of psycho-physiological responses, precipitating a state of heightened affective resonance. The virtual scenarios presented within these ludological-constructs serve as a stimulus for my idiosyncratic fixation on the intricacies of interspecies relationships - I mean, inter-gender dynamics, not to mention the dialectical tensions between the ego-centric desires of individual protagonists and the collective unconscious of their respective fictions. In this Byzantine labyrinth of narrative possibilities, I find myself drawn to the heuristic efficacy of certain "route-locks" - those subtle yet pivotal moments where player choice precipitates a cascade of consequences, thereby necessitating a recursive re-evaluation of one's own meta-cognitive processes. Moreover, the fetishization of character tropes and their attendant affective valences (e.g., the "tsundere" complex) serves as a paradigmatic exemplar of the simulacral nature of these virtual experiences - in other words, the ontological distinction between the digital realm and my own subject-position becomes increasingly tenuous. And yet, despite this existential ambiguity, I remain enthralled by the affective intensities generated within these "otome" games, where the boundaries between fantasy and reality are constantly being re-negotiated through a process of iterated self-reflection - i.e., the performative praxis of playing (and replaying) these digital scenarios. In short, my experience of anime dating sims can be reduced to an exercise in ontological instability, wherein the virtual and the real converge through a dialectical interplay of affective resonance, psycho-physiological response, and meta-cognitive reflection.

That's hella rad. I also like to engage in "ontological instability" even though I didn't know it until now. Sounds like you are on a whole other level though

As I immerse myself in the hermeneutic vortex of ontological instability within the anime dating sim, I find myself precipitously oscillating between epistemic states of fluxionality and narratological uncertainty - a veritable 'crisis of signification' that precipitates an existential frisson, wherein my very essence becomes entwined with the protagonist's libidinal desires, thus catalyzing a dialectical synthesis of being and becoming, all within the ontic topology of this virtual realm.

EDIT: Does your praxis of ludic engagement entail an ontological predilection for navigating the intricacies of narrative-driven simulacra, wherein the dialectical synthesis of affective resonance and algorithmic machinations precipitates a hermeneutic horizon of possibility?

Yes it does, if I understand correctly. This predilection of mine is very elusive though, not something that I was aware of for a long time. When I discovered it through affective resonance, it was more like a radar giving a sound that something was close but it unfortunately did not signal it precisely.
