It seems very slightly cropped at the bottom from what I remember, but I could be wrong. It's been a while :) I still can't believe the person who gave it to you found it!

The photograph has a mid-90s vibe to it. Photographs turn particular colors depending on the decade. 70s pictures turn orange, 80s pictures turn blue and 90s pictures don't turn any colour but have less saturation than we are accustomed to nowadays.
I used to work with photographs. The oldest one I have ever held in my hands was a daguerreotype dated 1839, which is actually the same year they were invented. I've also held an albumen print from 1858 which was in perfect condition.

Don't get me wrong, you were spot on. You clearly know your stuff. That picture was taken in September of 1994. To the left is an annex of The Three Tuns pub in Finchingfield, Essex. It's amazing that the guy who gave it to OP even found it.
